Your Data, Our Stewardship

Clickeno is a tool for gamers, built by gamers. Our privacy policy reflects that reality: we collect only what's necessary to make your macro tools work reliably, and we treat your data with the same care we demand for our own gaming setups.

At a Glance

  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • Your macro configurations are stored locally on your device by default.
  • You can request a full data export or deletion at any time.

Process Snapshot

1

User Interaction

Clickeno captures necessary inputs (macro clicks, hotkeys) locally.

2

Local Processing

Actions are processed on-device; no raw data is sent to servers for execution.

3

Optional Sync

If enabled, only encrypted macro configs are synced to your account.

Policy Effective Date: January 2026

What We Need & Why We Need It

Our business is selling software, not data. Every piece of information we ask for serves a concrete technical purpose: helping your macros run correctly, managing your license, or providing support. This section breaks down exactly what that looks like in practice.

Account Information

Purpose: License verification, purchase history, and support ticket routing.

  • Email address (for account login and receipts)
  • Purchase history (for feature entitlement)
  • Encrypted password hash

Game & Macro Data

Purpose: To replicate in-game environments and ensure macro compatibility.

  • Macro sequence files (stored locally by default)
  • Game executable names (e.g., game.exe)
  • Window titles and resolutions (for on-screen targeting)

Technical Diagnostics (Optional)

Purpose: Bug reporting and performance optimization. Only sent with explicit consent.

  • Error logs (anonymized)
  • System specs (CPU, GPU, OS version)
  • Macro latency timing data

Data Sharing & Your Control

We operate on a strict "need-to-know" basis. Your data is shared only with service providers essential to delivering Clickeno, and never for marketing purposes. You retain full control over what is shared.

We Share With:

  • Payment processors (Stripe)
  • Cloud storage (for encrypted sync)
  • Analytics (aggregated, anonymized)

We Never Share:

  • Your email for marketing
  • Your game-specific macros
  • Your raw hardware data

Common Privacy Pitfalls

1. Over-Reliance on Cloud Sync

Assuming macros are backed up without explicitly enabling cloud sync. Fix: Check the 'Data' tab in settings. Local-first is default.

2. Ignoring Diagnostic Consent

Submitting a support ticket without turning on diagnostic data. Fix: Toggle 'Share Diagnostics' when creating a ticket for faster resolution.

3. Confusing Game Data with Personal Data

Worrying that we track in-game scores or achievements. Fix: We only track macro functionality, not game outcomes.

Questions for Stakeholders

What is the data retention policy for deleted accounts?

All user data is permanently purged from our servers within 30 days of account closure, except for legal or financial record requirements.

How do you handle data subject access requests (DSAR)?

Requests are handled by the support team. Users can request their full data export via email to info@clickeno.com.

What is the incident response plan for a data breach?

We follow a 72-hour notification protocol per GDPR, with immediate isolation of affected systems and user communication.

Can you process payments without storing card details?

Yes. We use Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant processor. We never store your full payment card number.

Is data shared for AI training?

No. Your macro data, usage patterns, or diagnostics are never used to train AI models for any purpose.

What about children's privacy?

Clickeno is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Trade-Offs We Accept

No system is perfect. Here are the compromises we've deliberately made.

Local-First Default

Upside: Maximum user control, better privacy.

Downside: More complex support for syncing issues. We accept this to prioritize privacy.

Minimal Diagnostics

Upside: Less data footprint, faster bug reports.

Downside: Some bugs are harder to reproduce without logs. We accept this to avoid data hoarding.

No Social Features

Upside: Zero social graph data collection.

Downside: Less network effect. We accept this to stay focused on utility, not engagement metrics.

Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific data protection rights. Clickeno will take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your personal information.

  • A Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • B Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • C Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (where applicable).
  • D Right to Restrict Processing: Request that we stop processing your data.
